Use
Proper use and maintenance are essential to make the most of our valuable resources. Our models are designed to last, but they need a little care to do so.
Brushed brass
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, appreciated for its high malleability, hardness, corrosion resistance and attractive appearance.
The colour of brass parts can change. This is not a manufacturing defect, but the normal change in appearance of brass over time. We have chosen raw brass as a raw material because we like the patina it develops with age.
Cleaning and maintenance
Brass naturally darkens with time and fingerprints. Grease, water, etc. can leave stains on the surface. To clean, generally use a damp cloth soaked in dishwashing detergent, then rinse with clean water and dry by polishing.
Never clean brass with a strong cleaning agent! In case of heavy soiling, slightly vinegar or salt water may do the trick.
If necessary, clean with a brass polish without staining other materials.
Brass should never be placed in the dishwasher.
Note
As brass can be very sensitive to tarnishing, it is possible that small stains have already formed on the product when unpacking. These can easily be removed using the care tips above.
